How to File Grievance on EPFiGMS Portal
- Go to epfigms.gov.in
- Click "Register Grievance"
- Enter your UAN number and verify with OTP

Employer Not Depositing PF — What You Can Do
This is one of the most serious violations. If your salary slip shows PF deduction but EPFO passbook doesn't reflect it:
- File complaint on EPFiGMS immediately
- EPFO can conduct surprise inspection of employer's records
- Employer faces penalty + interest for non/late deposit
- EPFO can attach employer's bank account to recover dues
- Non-deposit is a criminal offense — imprisonment up to 3 years
Alternative Escalation Options
| Platform | When to Use |
|---|---|
| EPFiGMS portal | First step — all PF/ESIC issues |
| CPGRAMS (cpgrams.gov.in) | If EPFiGMS response unsatisfactory |
| EPFO Regional Office (visit/call) | For complex issues, verification required |
| EPFO helpline: 1800-118-005 | Quick queries (toll-free) |
| Labour Commissioner | If employer actively denying PF rights |
Track Your Grievance Status
- Go to EPFiGMS portal → "View Status"
- Enter your Grievance Registration Number
- Enter mobile number registered at filing
- Current status + officer comments visible
EPFO is required to resolve grievances within 30 working days under government guidelines. If not resolved, escalate to CPGRAMS.
KYC Issues — Documents Needed
If your KYC is pending or rejected, you'll need:
- Aadhaar linking: Aadhaar-linked mobile number for OTP verification on UAN portal
- Bank account: Cancel cheque or passbook copy
- PAN: Upload scanned PAN copy to UAN portal
Once KYC is employer-approved on UAN portal, it appears as "Verified" and PF withdrawal / transfer becomes available.
Exit Date Not Updated — How to Fix
If your previous employer hasn't updated your exit date (date of leaving job) on EPFO portal, withdrawal claim will be rejected:
- Request previous employer to update exit date on EPFO Employer Portal
- If employer unresponsive — file grievance on EPFiGMS citing "Exit date not updated"
- EPFO can update exit date after verification if employer is unresponsive
- Alternatively, approach EPFO Regional Office with employment documents (relieving letter, salary slips)
