Online Address Update — Step by Step

1. Go to myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in
2. Click "Update Aadhaar" → "Update Demographics Data Online"
3. Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number
4. OTP will come on your registered mobile number
5. Enter OTP → Login
6. Select "Address" to update
7. Enter new address with all fields
8. Upload address proof document (see list below)
9. Submit — note down Update Request Number (URN)
10. Track status on same portal using URN

Address Proof Documents Accepted

Any one of these is sufficient for address update:

• Passport
• Bank statement / passbook (last 3 months)
• Post Office account statement
• Ration Card
• Voter ID card
• Driving License
• Government-issued letter / ID with address
• Electricity / water / gas bill (last 3 months)
• Property tax receipt
• Allotment letter of accommodation

Offline Name / DOB Update — Aadhaar Centre Process

1. Locate nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra — find on UIDAI website
2. Book appointment online (recommended) or walk-in
3. Fill Aadhaar Correction Form at centre
4. Submit original documents for verification
5. Biometrics may be re-captured
6. Pay ₹50 fee
7. Acknowledgement slip with URN given

Documents for Name Correction:

• Passport / PAN / Voter ID (in new name)
• Gazette notification for name change
• Marriage certificate (for married name change)

Documents for DOB Correction:

• Birth certificate
• SSLC / 10th marksheet

Track Aadhaar Update Status

1. Go to myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in
2. Click "Check Aadhaar Update Status"
3. Enter URN (Update Request Number) + Aadhaar number
4. Current status displayed

Aadhaar PAN Link — Don't Forget

PAN-Aadhaar linking is mandatory for all taxpayers. If not linked:

• PAN becomes inoperative
• TDS deducted at higher rate (20% vs standard)
• ITR refunds blocked

Link on incometax.gov.in → "Link Aadhaar" → Enter PAN and Aadhaar number.
