Replica: The Free Pack of 11 Claude Skills That Clone Any App
| Stage | What happens |
|---|---|
| 1 | recon + architect: reverse-engineers the app's screens, flows and data model, then plans your stack |
| 2 | design + build + backend: rebuilds the design system, every screen, auth and payments |
| 3 | test + diff: clicks through every flow for bugs, then scores your clone against the original |
| 4 | entrepreneur: reads real user reviews of the original and tells you what to fix in yours |
| 5 | brand + launch + deploy: renames it as your own, writes the listing, ships it on your domain |

What Replica Actually Does
Replica is a free, open-source (MIT) pack of eleven Claude skills by Jake Schincariol. You point it at an app - Blinkit, Zomato, OYO, a booking tool, anything - and one skill reverse-engineers what the app does (screens, flows, data model), one plans the stack, one rebuilds the design system, one rebuilds the app screen by screen, one wires auth and payments, one tests every flow for bugs, and one scores your version against the original with a real parity number.
The standout is the Entrepreneur skill: it reads the original app's real reviews across stores and forums, ranks what users are fed up with (with counts and linked quotes), and turns that into a fix list and a positioning angle - so your version can come out better than the original. The last three skills name and rebrand your version, write the landing page and store listing, and deploy it on your own domain.
One rule sits at the center of the whole pack: it rebuilds what an app does, never what it owns. Features and flows, clean-room style - not the original's code, logo, copy or content, and a sweep tool blocks the deploy until nothing of the original is left.
Install It (2 Steps)
The way shown in our reel - inside Claude Code:
Installed as a plugin, the skills show up namespaced (for example /replica-skill:replica-recon). Or skip the plugin route entirely: paste the repo link into any Claude chat and say install skill. No Claude Code at all? Paste any single SKILL.md from the repo at the top of a chat and it runs as a mode (you lose the Python tools, but the method works).
The First Run: What It Needs
- Python 3.8 or newer for the six bundled tools (screenshot diff, parity score, review ranker, contrast check, brand sweep, listing checker). Nothing to pip install - they are standard-library only and none of them touch the network.
- No signup, no API key, nothing to connect - the pack is free and MIT-licensed.
- Each skill reads what the previous one wrote inside a replica/ folder in your own project, so the run lives in your workspace.
The Eleven Skills
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
| /replica-recon | Reverse-engineers any app: screens, flows, components, data model |
| /replica-architect | Plans the stack, database schema and API for your clone |
| /replica-design | Rebuilds the design system as tokens, with your own assets |
| /replica-build | Rebuilds the app screen by screen from the recon map |
| /replica-backend | Auth, database, payments and integrations |
| /replica-test | Clicks through every flow and logs bugs by severity |
| /replica-diff | Scores your clone against the original: a parity number and what is missing |
| /replica-entrepreneur | Reads what the app's users hate in real reviews, turns it into fixes and an angle |
| /replica-brand | Names and rebrands your version so it is yours |
| /replica-launch | Landing page, pricing and store listing |
| /replica-deploy | Ships it live on your own domain |
Run them in order, or any one on its own - /replica-entrepreneur on an app you are only thinking about cloning is a good way to find out if you should.
Where It Shines - and Where It Does Not
- Best for: rebuilding the features and flow of an app you want your own version of - and out-positioning the original using what its own users complain about.
- "Clone any app" means the features and the flow. Not the content, the network or the licences an app owns - you can rebuild a music app's player and playlists, not its catalogue.
- No "perfect clone" guarantee. Results depend on complexity - the repo's own example rates a booking tool in weeks and says a spreadsheet engine is not one. The recon skill sizes it honestly before you start.
- It reads only what you are allowed to read. Public pages and your own account - no scraping behind logins or past paywalls.
- Check before you sell. Run the trademark checks the brand skill lists and read the terms of anything you used; the repo itself says to talk to a lawyer if there is money on the line, and this guide is not legal advice.
