NPS se retirement ke waqt aapko kuch critical decisions lene hote hain — sirf PF withdrawal nahi. NPS mein 60% lump sum tax-free nikaal sakte hain, lekin baaki 40% se annuity lena compulsory hai. Ye annuity ek monthly income hai jo aapko life-time milti hai.

Annuity option ka decision ek baar lena hota hai — baad mein change nahi hoti. Isliye ye decision wisely lena chahiye. Is guide mein 6 main options aur konsa choose karna chahiye clearly explain kiya hai.

NPS Annuity Kya Hai?

Annuity ek insurance product hai — aap ek lump sum amount PFRDA-empanelled Annuity Service Provider (ASP) ko dete ho, aur woh aapko regular monthly income dete hain zindagi bhar (ya defined period ke liye). ASPs licensed insurance companies hain — LIC, SBI Life, HDFC Life, ICICI Pru Life, etc.

Annuity rate (kitna monthly milega) depend karta hai:

6 Annuity Options — Detail Mein

Option 1: Life Annuity (Without Return of Purchase Price)

Monthly income milती rahegi jab tak aap jeete ho. Death ke baad payments stop ho jaati hain — nominee ko kuch nahi milta. Monthly amount highest hota hai is option mein.

Option 2: Life Annuity With Return of Purchase Price

Monthly income milti hai life bhar. Death ke baad, annuity ka original purchase price nominee ko wापस milta hai. Monthly amount thoda kam hoga (kyunki ASP corpus return kar rahi hai).

Option 3: Life Annuity With 100% Annuity to Spouse

Aapke jeete ji monthly income aapko milti hai. Aapke baad, same amount aapki spouse ko milta hai unki zindagi bhar. Spouse ke baad payments stop ho jaati hain.

Option 4: Life Annuity With 100% Annuity + Return of Purchase Price

Combined — aapko aur spouse ko income milti hai, aur dono ke baad corpus nominee ko wापस. Monthly amount sabse kam hoga.

Option 5: Life Annuity With 60% Annuity to Spouse

Aapke baad spouse ko 60% of your annuity amount milta hai. Balance between monthly income aur spouse protection.

Option 6: Annuity for Certain Period (10, 15, or 20 Years) + Life

Guaranteed period ke liye income milti hai — agar is period mein death ho toh nominee ko remaining period ke liye payments milti hain. After that period, life annuity continue hoti hai.

ASP Kaise Choose Karein?

PFRDA ne kaafi ASPs empanel kiye hain. Best practice:

  1. CRA portal pe annuity calculator use karo — same corpus pe alag ASPs ke rates compare karo
  2. Highest rate wale ASP se compare karo — mere liye 2-3% difference bhi significant hoga long term pe
  3. ASP financial stability check karo — IRDAI ratings dekho
  4. Claim settlement ratio — mrityu ke baad nominee ko payment milne ki certainty
