Agar koi ESIC-covered employee employment injury (kaam par accident ya occupational disease) ki wajah se mar jaata hai, toh uske dependants ko ESIC Dependent Benefit milta hai — yeh ek monthly pension hai. Yeh ESI Act, 1948 ke Section 52 ke under aata hai.

Is article mein samjhenge ki yeh benefit kab milta hai, rate kya hai, kaun eligible hai, aur claim kaise karna hai.

ESIC Dependent Benefit Kab Milta Hai?

Dependent benefit sirf tab milta hai jab employee ki death employment injury ke reason se ho. Employment injury mein shamil hai:

Agar death natural cause (bimari jo kaam se related nahi), age, ya koi non-work-related accident se ho, toh dependent benefit nahi milega — woh case mein EDLI (Employees Deposit Linked Insurance from EPFO) applicable hoga.

Dependent Benefit Ki Rate Kya Hai?

Dependent benefit ki calculation "Full Rate Disablement Benefit" ke proportion mein hoti hai. Full rate disablement benefit = employee ke last 12 months ki average daily wages ka approximately 90%.

Then that full rate is distributed among dependents:

Note: Total distributed benefit widow + all children combined = Full Rate (100%). Excess allowances for large families are handled via adjustments. Consult nearest ESIC branch for exact calculation in your case.

Eligibility: Insured Person Ke Liye Conditions

Dependent benefit milne ke liye deceased employee (insured person) ke baare mein yeh conditions honi chahiye:

ESIC employer ke zariye employee register karata hai jab company ESI-coverable area aur employee count mein aati hai.

ESIC aur EPFO dono alag schemes hain. ESI-covered employees ESIC se milte hain, EPF-covered employees EDLI se. Ek employee dono mein enrolled ho sakta hai — toh family potentially dono benefits claim kar sakti hai (different from different acts).
