8th Pay Commission 2026: Kab Lagega, Kitna Badega Salary? Latest Update
January 2025 mein Union Cabinet ne 8th Pay Commission ke gathan ka officially announcement kiya. Iska matlab hai — 1 crore+ central government employees aur 68 lakh pensioners ki salaries aur pensions badhne wali hain. Lekin kab se? Kitna badhega? Fitment factor kya hoga?
Is article mein aapko sabse accurate aur updated information milegi.
8th Pay Commission Kya Hai?
India mein central government employees ki salaries ek periodic Pay Commission ke recommendations se revise hoti hain. Har 10 saal mein ek nayi commission banti hai:
- 6th Pay Commission — effective 2006, fitment 1.86x
- 7th Pay Commission — effective 2016, fitment 2.57x
- 8th Pay Commission — expected effective 2026
8th CPC ke recommendations ke baad, central government + state governments (jo adopt karein) + PSUs bhi apni salaries revise karte hain. Iska ripple effect poori economy par hota hai.
Kab Se Effective Hoga?
January 2025 mein Cabinet ne commission setup kiya. Commission typically 18-24 mahine mein apni report deti hai. Timeline:
- Jan 2025: Cabinet approval — commission setup
- Jan 2025 – Dec 2026: Commission ka deliberation period
- Jan 2027 (estimate): Report submission
- April 2027 (estimate): Government acceptance + implementation
- Arrears: Retrospective benefit from Jan 2026
Note: 7th Pay Commission bhi 2014 mein setup hua tha, recommendations 2015 mein aayi, implementation January 2016 se — arrears mile. Same pattern expected hai.
Fitment Factor Kya Hoga?
Fitment factor woh multiplier hai jisse existing basic pay multiply karke nayi basic pay calculate karte hain:
New Basic Pay = Existing Basic Pay × Fitment Factor
| Pay Commission | Fitment Factor | Min Pay |
|---|---|---|
| 6th CPC (2006) | 1.86x | Rs 7,000 |
| 7th CPC (2016) | 2.57x | Rs 18,000 |
| 8th CPC (2026 est.) | 2.86x (expected) | Rs 51,480 (projected) |
Salary Calculation Example (Expected)
Agar aapka current basic pay Rs 44,900 (Level 7 — Graduate entry level) hai:
Expected new basic = Rs 44,900 × 2.86 = Rs 1,28,414 per month
Note: Ye sirf estimate hai — actual fitment factor commission ki recommendation par depend karta hai.
| Pay Level | Current Basic | Expected New (2.86x) | Increase |
|---|---|---|---|
| Level 1 (MTS) | Rs 18,000 | Rs 51,480 | +Rs 33,480 |
| Level 4 (Clerk) | Rs 25,500 | Rs 72,930 | +Rs 47,430 |
| Level 6 (LDC) | Rs 35,400 | Rs 1,01,244 | +Rs 65,844 |
| Level 7 (UDC/Grad) | Rs 44,900 | Rs 1,28,414 | +Rs 83,514 |
| Level 10 (Gazetted) | Rs 56,100 | Rs 1,60,446 | +Rs 1,04,346 |
*Projected estimates. Actual figures commission report ke baad confirm honge.
HRA Aur DA Ka Kya Hoga?
8th CPC ke saath HRA (House Rent Allowance) aur DA (Dearness Allowance) bhi revise honge:
- DA: New pay implementation ke din se DA zero se restart hoga (7th CPC mein bhi hua tha)
- HRA: Cities ke hisaab se X, Y, Z cities ka classification change ho sakta hai
- TA: Travel allowance bhi revise hoga
- NPS contribution: Higher basic = higher employer NPS contribution
State Government Employees Ka Kya?
8th Pay Commission sirf central government employees ke liye mandatory hai. State governments apna decision leti hain — lekin most states eventually central pattern follow karti hain, usually 1-2 saal delay ke saath.
PSU Employees Ka Kya?
Public Sector Undertakings (ONGC, BHEL, SAIL etc.) apni salary structure alag se decide karte hain — typically IDA (Industrial Dearness Allowance) pattern mein. Unpar CPC directly apply nahi hota, lekin CPC se influenced hote hain.
